Ravikondda’s trip to Mercara and Thala Cauvery - Travelogue
After completing a memorable outing, instead of just posting photos, I thought why not make a Travelogue. And here is it. It certainly benefits the readers since they also can plan for such similar trips based on my tips. Karnataka is a nice place to visit in summer. Particularly the hilly regions of Mercara or Coorg and Thala Cauvery is very interesting, since the climate will be good with lots of greenery. We started in our car and reached Bangalore. From Chennai to Bangalore is 360 Kms. From Bangalore to Mercara or Coorg is 227 Kms. It is better to use GPS navigation for direction. The route is Mysore road from Bangalore, but need not enter Mysore. Instead take the by-pass road that goes to Brindavan Gardens. We started at 11.30am from Bangalore and reached Coorg at 5.30pm. Since I had already booked Hotel Cauvery in Coorg, we checked into this hotel. A double room Non-AC with car part, costs Rs.1,500. This is in College road in the heart of city and has man
